WAUKESHA, Wis. - Marian University men's basketball has been picked just outside of the NACC Tournament in seventh place in the preseason poll.
Aurora University was picked to win the Northern Athletics Collegiate Conference men's basketball championship, voted on by the league's head coaches and sports information directors. The Spartans finished second last season with a 15-5 NACC record (17-9 overall). Aurora received 16 of 22 first-place votes and 232 points in the preseason poll. Concordia University Wisconsin was second with 210 points and four top nods, defending champion Benedictine University was third with 205 and a pair of first-place votes, and Wisconsin Lutheran College was fourth with 176. MSOE was fifth with 135 points, followed by Dominican University in sixth with 119 and Marian University seventh with 108. Lakeland University with eighth with 84, Edgewood College ninth with 81 and Rockford University 10th with 62. Concordia University Chicago filled out the final spot with 40 points. The NACC's regular season standings determine the teams that qualify for the six-team conference tournament, while the tournament champion receives the league's automatic bid to the NCAA III Championship Tournament. 2017-18 NACC Men's Basketball Preseason Poll 1.
